Srinagar: Campuses reverberated with sloganeering in SKUAST campus Wadoora sopore, NIT Srinagar, and a nocturnal protest at KU against yesterday’s civilian killings in Kulgam.

Female hostliers of Kashmir University staged a protest late Wednesday night in the varsity campus against the killing of four civilians in Khudwani area of Kulgam district.

Protests erupted in SKUAST north campus with several students including female students raised Pro freedom and anti India slogans .

Students of National Institute of Technology Hazratbal also protested inside campus raising slogans against civilian killings. They were holding placards that read: Kashmiri Lives matter.

Four civilians were killed and at least sixty were injured during clashes with government forces on Wednesday in Kulgam district, during an anti militancy operation. Militants however managed to escape.
