Shab-e-Qadr holiday to be observed on Friday instead of Thursday: Govt

Srinagar: The government on Wednesday ordered that holiday on account of ‘Shab-I-Miraj’ shall be observed on Saturday instead of Friday.

“In partial modification of Government Order No. 1584-GAD of 2017, dated 14.12.2017, the holiday on account of ‘Shab-I-Miraj shall be observed on 14th April 2018 (Saturday) instead of 13th April, 2018 (Friday) in the Government Offices and Educational Institutions of the State of Jammu and Kashmir,” reads a government order issued here.
