Kidnapped girl recovered by Ganderbal police, abductor arrested

Srinagar: A girl (name withheld) kidnapped by one accused Javid Ahmad Lone son of Ghulam Rasool Lone resident of Surfaw on 20-03-2018 and accordingly a case FIR No. 08/2018 under section 366 RPC was registered in Police Station Gund.

A special team headed by SDPO Kangan Shah Umar, SHO PS Gund Syed Arif Iqbal was constituted on the directions of SSP Ganderbal  Fayaz Ahmad Lone.

After strenuous efforts of the police, the kidnapped girl was recovered and abductor arrested today on 10-04-2018 in Zakura area of Srinagar. After completing all legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her parents and the accused is now behind the bars.
