Srinagar: Gowhar Ahmad Rather of Kangan who was admitted in SKIMS for being seriously injured has succumbed on Tuesday.

Medical Medical Superintendent SKIMS Dr Farooq Jan told INS that Gowhar after remaining critical at the hospital he has expired. 

Clashes have erupted in Kangan area of Ganderbal District of Central Kashmir.

The family members of the deceased have refused to buy police version saying that their son has received two bullets.

They family claims that Gowhar received two bullets fired by policemen when he was on way to home from Jamia Masjid, Kangan.

“Yesterday, the doctors gave us in writing that he has received bullet injury. However, they now say he was injured due to some metallic substance,” the family said, as quoted by a newspaper.
