Anantnag: Heavy exchange of gunfire  between militants and government forces has rattled Iqbal colony Dialgam area of Anantnag district tonight.

“Two  Militants are believed to be trapped,” sources said.

Sources said that 19 RR cordoned off Dialgam area of Islamabad at late evening after receiving inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

As the forces zeroed in, the hiding militants fired on them leading to an encounter.

According to locals the area has been rattled by the sound of gunfire and some blasts too were heard.

Despite repeated attempts police didn’t respond to calls.

Official confirmation awaited.
