All units of Kishenganga power project undergo successful trial: Div Com

Srinagar: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan Saturday said that all the three units of prestigious Kishenganga Hydropower Project (HPP) have undergone successful trial run and only a few works are to be completed .
The Div Com reviewed the entire work on the project and beautification of banks of discharge canal during a meeting here today. The meeting was attended by representatives of district administration Bandipora and executing agency of the project.
The meeting was informed that the 330 MW project comprise three units of 110 MW which have undergone successful trial run and the last unit was successfully tested today, the officers said.
The Div Com directed the district administration to speed up the works on the banks of discharge canal which also includes construction of parks and beautification process. He directed the officials to remove the muck from the canal on a war footing.
The Floriculture Department authorities were also asked to submit the DPR for car parking spot.
With regards to compensation cases, the Div Com directed the officials to settle all the cases within a week’s time.
