HC quashes 9 PSA detention orders

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir High Court has quashed detention order under Public Safety Act of two detainees and ordered their release from the preventive detention forthwith from the preventive custody, if not required in any other case.

A bench of justice M K Hanjura quashed the detention orders passed by the deputy commissioner Pulwama after hearing counsel for the detainees. Those ordered to be released include Hilal Ahmad Khanday son of Mohammad Shaban Khanday of Naristan Mohalla, Samboora Pampore and Fayaz Ahmad Lone son of Ghulam Qadir Lone of Syedabad, Pastuna Tral.
