To meet salaries of SSA teachers Govt authorizes ‘advance withdrawal of Rs 140 Crore’

JAMMU: The Finance Department today authorized advance drawal of Rs 140 crore in favour of School Education Department (SED) under centrally sponsored scheme (CSS) Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) for meeting SSA teachers’ salary and other expenses.

A communiqué sent to School Education Department stated that ‘Finance Department conveys its concurrence to the  authorization along with permission for advance drawl of Rs 140 crore, which include Rs 4369.546 lakh as advance positioning in favour of school Education Department under the CSS ‘ Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA).

“Rs 4369.546 Lakh authorized as advance positioning shall be recouped from the funds sanctioned by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (Department of School Education and literacy) for the current financial year under the said scheme,” It further stated.
