Sgr-Sonamarg road opened due to ‘tourist rush’

Ganderbal: The famous tourist resort Sonamarg opened for traffic on Tuesday after remaining closed for vehicular movement since December last year.

Chief executive officer Sonamarg Shabir Ahmad Raina said due to heavy rush of tourists and demand of locals administration, the decision to Sgr-Sonamarg road was taken.

He also said that the traffic movement will be allowed upto Sonamarg only.

“Traffic will be allowed upto Sonamarg from 11 am to 2 pm and return from Sonamarg upto 3 pm,” Raina said.
