Taking dig at the ruling dispensation National conference working president and former chief minister Omar Abdullah on Monday said that ‘ministers can protest to defend rape and murder accused but a doctor can’t point out the truth’.

Omar was referring to the governments order after a doctor Amit Kumar, an anesthesiologist at the Government Medical College Jammu, was sacked over an anti-governmental Facebook post.

“Ministers can protest to defend rape/murder accused but a doctor can’t point out the truth. @MehboobaMufti dictatorial Govt in J&K – J&K doctor faces action for ‘correcting’ minister on Facebook,” Omar wrote on Twitter.

“All the doctor did was point out that the lift the health minister claimed to have inaugurated was actually an old lift & for that he was removed from his post of Registrar”, Omar wrote on Twitter.
