Uri : Police has registered a case against on leave army soldier  who beat a minor boy to pulp in Uri area of Baramulla district.

Incident happened at Chulla Village of Uri while they were playing in a local ground. Locals said that the troopers beat 14 year old boy, identified as Syed Danish son of Sumander Hussain, ruthlessly with a ‘bat’.

Police sources said that a soldier named Syed Gulzar son of Syed Beigh Hussain, presently posted at 4 Jakli ‘was coming home on his holidays’ when the incident happened.

“He was injured critically and was rushed to local hospital for advance treatment,” they said.

Meanwhile Police in this regard has registered a case with FIR number 21/18/U/S 341323506 RPC and further investigation has been taken up.
