Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (M) led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Saturday termed RSS chief Mohan Baghwat statement that people of Kashmir understand the language of power as a reflection of the “fascist ideology” of the right-wing organization.
In a statement issued here that it was also reflection of their outlook on how to deal with the political will and aspirations of the people of Kashmir.
The spokesman said eulogising the army for doing a commendable job of keeping the territory and people under forcible control and banking on military strength as a means of resolution of the world acknowledged dispute is highly condemnable.
The spokesman said that Kashmir was the world’s most militarised zone where forces are laced with unbriddled powers including black laws like AFSPA which have resulted in worst form of human rights violations and killing of civilians. And instead of looking at a political resolution to this purely political and human problem which was causing so much death and destruction here and hostility and uncertainty in the region, such people want the army to do this job for them through force and power. The spokesman said that the RSS chief should apprise himself of the basic ground reality that Kashmir was a world recognised dispute and it has never been a part of Indian union. “There are 18 resolutions pending about Jammu and Kashmir in the UN and the reaolution of this vexed dispute lies in implementing these very resolutions.”
The spokesman said that people like Baghwat should realize that no stone has been left unturned to push the people of Kashmir and the resistance leadership to wall by extreme use of force, yet all repressive measures have failed to cow down the people or break their resolve to achieve the realization of their political will and aspirations
Meanwhile, the spokesman paid rich tributes to three militants killed in Balhama encounter that include Shabir Ahmed, Owais Ahmed and Abu Hamas stating that youth are sacrificing their lives for a great and sacred cause and it was the collective responsibility of people and leadership to strive for the cause.
