Tral: Residents of Batagund area of Tral sub district are accusing authorities lackadaisical and callous approach as the New Type Health Centre’s X-ray machine is out of order and an ambulance provided is without a driver.
Locals told INS that the said NTHC not only lacks proper staffing but also testing lab too doesn’t function properly.
“There is lack of doctors, parmamedical staff and medicines in the medical facility,” locals accused.
Locals also said that the digital x-ray machine in the NTHC lies defunct as it has never been used from the day of installation.
“Ambulance was allotted to the NTHC but there is no driver for it. Authorities are playing a cruel joke with the rural people,” they said.
The residents claim that one of the lady doctors posted there has been ‘attached to main hospital’ creating more woes to the people.
“If anyone falls ill at night not a single employee is available,” said Abdul Ahad, a local resident.
MLA Tral, Mushtaq Ahmad Shah told INS, told that, many developmental projects are going on to restore healthcare and other systems in Tral.
“Lot of development is being witnessed during past 3 years and more projects would likely be taken in future. In this connection, public should cooperate with me” Shah said, while promising that issues at the NTHC will be resolved soon.
