Altaf Bukhari gets additional charge of Finance, labour & employment departments

Srinagar: Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday assigned charge of the Departments of Finance, Labour & Employment to Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari in addition to the education department already assigned to him. According to a government order issued here, Mehbooba ordered modification of yesterday’s order (No.427-GAD of 2018) by virtue of which she retained the post of finance minister and other departments held by Dr Haseeb Drabu who was sacked by PDP for his statement, calling Kashmir apolitical. “In pursuance of Rule 5 of the Jammu and Kashmir Government Business Rules and as an interim measure, I, Mehbooba Mufti, Chief Minister, Jammu and Kashmir, do hereby assign the charge of the Departments of Finance, Labour & Employment to Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari in addition to the Government Business already assigned to him,” reads an order issued.
