Eisa Fazili laid to rest, father leads funeral prayer, clashes going on

Thousands of people have assembled at Soura residence of Eesa Fazili, the militant killed in encounter with Government forces in Islamabad.

Srinagar: Funeral prayers of Eisa Fazili, slain militant from Soura locality of Srinagar were led by his father Naeem fazili. Eisa was buried at Umerher graveyard while the air was filled with tear smoke on Monday.

According to eye witnesses Naeem Fazili, father of the slain militant led the funeral prayers himself as thousands attended the last prayers.

Naeem fazili is a Kashmir University official and had took to facebook earlier to announce death of his son and later announced the timing to funeral prayers through facebook as well.

Intense clashes broke out and police fired tear gas shells on the funeral procession as well.

“Even grave yard was filled with tear gas. Fazili was laid to rest amid smoke, clashes and sloganeering,” eye witnesses said.

According to eye witnesses several youth have been injured.
