Bandipora: The government polytechnic college, inaugurated in 2012, here is functioning from three different locations. While the building for the college is still under construction officials say they will have their own campus by August 2018.

The college according to students was launched with much ‘fanfare’ but ‘with a divided campuses’ students face hurdles and difficulties.

“Administrative block functions from a rented house while the two academic blocks function from two seperate places. In Nebripora is academic block of Tourism and Hospitality Management and academic block of Mechanical Engineering functions from three rented rooms in Papachan area of District,” aggrieved students said.

The college building is coming up at Watapora area of the district.

“We lack proper class rooms, library and laboratory. We are unable to gain enough practical knowledge,” said a student.
