Militant killed as gunfight rages in Hajin, internet snapped

Baramulla: One militant has been killed in an encounter with joint team of forces in Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Official sources said that acting on a specific information about the presence of militants, Army’s 13 RR and SOG Bandipora launched a cordon and search operation at Sukur Din Mohlla of Hajin early Thursday morning.
As the searches were intensified, the hiding militants fired upon the joint team forces, resulting encounter. One militant has been killed so far in ongoing encounter, the sources said. Internet in the area has been suspended also. More details awaited
