The meeting was held under the chairmanship of District Magistrate, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary.

SSP Yougal Manhas, SP CID-CI Khalid Amin, ADM Abdul Qayoom Mir, SDM Abdul Sattar, Commandant BSF, Commandant CRPF, Lt Col Army, Major HQ Romeo Force, Tehsildars of Manjakote, Nowshera and Qila Darhal attended the meeting. Nodal Officer Nisar Hussain made a detailed presentation of each case.

The DLCSC approved compensation in 17 cases of militancy related incidents pertaining to various years from 1998 to 2011 which were lying pending. The Committee also approved employment in favour of 12 cases and cash compensation of Rs. 4 Lakh in remaining five cases. Meanwhile, 28 cases approved earlier by the Committee for payment of cash compensation were decided to be submitted to General Administration Department in view of reluctance of NoKs for receiving cash compensation.

Several cases of compensation to victims of cross-LoC shelling were also approved for payment of compensation as per norms of Central Government Scheme for assistance to victims of cross-border firing as well as SDRF/SRE. These included one death case, six injured, 51 cases of houses damaged and 33 cases of livestock killed due to shelling.

The pending cases approved for job included MohdMaroof (2017), Ishtiaq Ahmed (2005), Mehtabul Hassan (2001), Sanam Sharma (2002), MohdArif (2002), Liaqat Hussain (2001), Mohd Rafiq (1998),  Badar Hussain (2002) MohdAdrees (2001), Janak Singh (2003), Hanifa Begum (2003)   and those sanctioned cash compensation include Shamim Akhter (1997), MohdAyub (2002), Zaheer Abass (2003), Mohd Freed (2005), MohdIshaq (2011).

With this, all the militancy related cases have been settled in the district. More than 90 cases were approved and settled in record time during current year. Most of the cases were either pending for want of minor formalities or rejected earlier for shortage of documents which the officials processed as per decisions of DLCSC.
