Hajin: Cashes erupt after militant killed in gunfight

Hajin: Clashes are going on between protesters and government forces after a militant was killed in a brief gunfight at Sukur din locality in Hajin of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

“The militant killed belongs to Lashkar e taiba and is a Pakistani,” sources told INS.

The anti militancy operation was launched in the wee hours of Wednesday and was a joint operation of multiple forces including Army, police and CRPF.

According to sources the militant was killed after a brief exchange of fire.

Government forces had been launching CASO almost on daily basis and few days back militants had managed to bread the cordon and escape.

However day after a body of a militant was found, believed to have been injured and later succumbed.

On Wednesday the early morning operation by forces was conducted after specific information about militants presence in the area.
