Srinagar: Government on Wednesday suspended  Dr AG Ahanger, Secretary (coordination) in Health and Medical Education Department. The former Director of SKIMS has been attached to Health and Medical Education Department till the suspension.

“Consequent upon the approval of the governing body of SKIMS , soura, Srinagar and pending enquiry in terms of Rule 31 of Jammu and Kashmir civil services (classification, control and appeal ) rule 1956 . Dr AG Ahanger , former Director SKIMS presently posted as Secretary (coordination) in Health and Medical education Department is placed under suspension with immediate effect,” reads a government order issued here.  “It is further ordered that during the period of his suspension, he shall remain attached to the H&ME department.”
