Daughter of MLA Karbalai passes away; Mehbooba, Abdullahs, others grieved

Srinagar: Member Assembly Kargil, Asgar Ali Karbalai, was bereaved Friday as his daughter Zainab Karbalai succumbed to his injuries at a Mumbai hospital, nearly fortnight after she was admitted for severe burn injuries. Zainab had suffered about 70% burn injuries in a blast on the night of February 9 and was taken to GMC Jammu from where she was airlifted and admitted to a hospital in Mumbai.
After battling for life, she succumbed on Friday afternoon.
Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, senior National Conference leaders including Farooq Abdullah, Haji Anayal Ali and Congress leaders condoled the demise and expresses sympathies with bereaved family particularly Karbalai.
In a statement Mehbooba expressed grief over the demise and conveyed her heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
National Conference President Farooq Abdullah and Working President Omar Abdullah also expressed profound grief over tragic death of the daughter of Karbalai.
Expressing solidarity with the bereaved family, Dr Farooq Abdullah and Mr Omar Abdullah prayed for peace to the departed soul and strength to the family to bear this irreparable loss.
The NC President and the Working President conveyed their condolences to the bereaved family.
Other National Conference leaders also conveyed their condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
Pradesh Congress Committee issued a statement expressing deep shock and grief over the sad and untimely demise of Zaneb Banu.
Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council Haji Anayal Ali expressed his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
