Srinagar: The Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) teachers on Monday staged a demonstration at Press Enclave in Srinagar against the delay in release of their salaries.

Protesting teachers said the government has not released their salaries from past 3 months, ‘causing immense hardships to the teaching community’.

Schools are re-opening after few days and our wages are pending from last three months. “Why government is playing with the future of students, if our salary will not be released that will force us to go for strike and the students will sufer,” said a protester

“Authorities should stream line our salary system so that we will not suffer again,” protester said
