Traffic cop, man killed in accidents in Udhampur, Sopore

Srinagar: A speeding truck killed a traffic police personnel on Srinagar-Jammu highway in Udhampur district while as 43-year-old man died on spot after a vehicle he was driving rammed into a divider near Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, official sources said on Friday.
They said one traffic cop Nazir Ahmad was seriously injured after a speeding truck hit him at Thanda Padder near bypass on highway. He was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to injuries, they said. The police seized the truck (JK01AC-3440).
Meanwhile, a 43-year-old man Mohammad Maqbool Wani son of Ghulam Nabi of Zainkote Srinagar died on spot when his car rammed into the divider near Sub District Hospital Sopore. He was rushed to SDH Sopore where doctor declared him brought dead. Police has registered the case.
