Sopore: Fire broke out in a commercial building in Choora village of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday night.
The building belonged to Latief Ahmed Lone son of Abdul Qareem Lone resident of Choora.
Reports reaching INS said the fire broke out around 3:30 am in the shop of Ali Mohammad Mir son of Abdul Ahmad Mir which spread to a nearby dental shop.
The fire also spread to the second floor of the building damaging the rented hall for horticulture department, reports added.
The flames were finally brought under control after fire service team reached to the spot.
Station house officer Choora told INS a fire serviceman Abdul Hameed Zargar received injuries in the incident. “The cause of the fire is probably the short circuit,” the officer said.
A case has been registered in this regard, SHO added.
