Tral: The residents of Hergam Bhatnoor in Tral protested on Monday against the Power Development Department (PDD) for failing to repair their damaged transformer since past one month.
The locals while holding a protest demonstration told INS that their transformer developed technical snag a month ago but the department showed least concern to repair it on time.
“The PDD brought transformer yesterday, but it got damaged just a minute after it was restarted,” the local said.
They said that 100 KV transformer is not sufficient for around 80 families of the village due to which technical snags happen.
“We are being pushed to reel under darkness in this bone chilling cold,” a local Abdul Majeed Lone told INS.
The residents have appealed to PDD chief engineer to look into the matter and redress their grievances at the earliest.
