Srinagar: Senior People’s Conference (PC) leader and MLA Kupwara Bashir Ahmad Dar on Friday urged the chief minister Mehbooba Mufti to personally intervene in the case of photojournalist Kamran Yousuf who is detained at Tihar jail, Delhi.
The MLA said that no case has been registered against Kamran and he too should have been given an opportunity to live a normal life like the amnesty was given to stone pelters.
He demanded immediate release of Kamran,
J&K police arrested Kamran on 5 September 2017 from his house in Pulwama. He was subsequently handed over to NIA, which is investigating an alleged case of foreign funds for “subversive activities in Jammu and Kashmir”.
