J&K owns 1444 kanals land in Haryana, Delhi, Mumbai: Govt

Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmiri government on Thursday said that state owns 1444 kanals of land in Haryana, Delhi and Mumbai.
Minister for Education Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, replying on behalf of Minister for Hospitality and Protocol, informed the House that the immovable properties of the state in various parts of the country include 41 kanals and 12 marlas at 5 Prithviraj Road; 11 kanals and 18.2 marlas at Chanakyapuri; 114 kanals and 11.2 marlas at Rajaji Marg; 7 kanals and 18.2 marlas at BR-II Shalimar Bagh and 433.77 sq yards at Baba Kharak Singh Marg in New Delhi.
Replying to a question raised by Qaiser Jamsheed Lone on behalf of Dr Shehnaz Ganai, the Minister informed the House that the state possesses 19 kanals in Amritsar, 7 kanals and 10.6 marlas and 1 kanal and 6.8 marlas at different locations in Chandigarh; 5.2 marlas at Advent Building, 9.8 marlas at Colaba, 1 kanal and 4 marlas at Napean Sea Road and 9 kanals and 12 marlas at Rupareal Marg in Mumbai while as 1251 kanals and 4 marlas in Haryana.
The Minister further informed that a proposal regarding renovation and upgradation of rooms, bathrooms and corridor of the Circuit House Building at the estimated cost of Rs. 148.63 lakh has been sanctioned and work is being carried out at JK House, Prithviraj Road in New Delhi. The construction of additional block of JK House Chanakyapuri and guest house would be started soon, he added.
Legislator Ajatshatru Singh also raised supplementary question related to the main question
