Drug peddler arrested with 1.4kg charas in Kangan

Ganderbal: Police on Monday arrested a drug peddler and recovered 1.4 kilograms of charas from his possession in this central Kashmir district.
“At about 02:20 pm, during Naka checking at Kachnambal crossing Kangan, police intercepted a suspicious person namely Abdul Rashid Lone son of Ghulam Mohammad Lone of Chattergul and recovered (69) pellets of charas measuring about 1.4 kg from his possession,” a police officer said.
In this regard, he said, a case FIR (No 6/2018) has been registered in police station Kangan and investigation taken up.
