Srinagar: Government has no policy for engagement of unemployed engineering degree or diploma holders on the pattern of Rehbar-e-Taleem and Rehbar-e-Ziraat.
In a written reply to BJP MLA Rajeev Sharma’s question in the legislative assembly, Dr Haseeb Drabu, Finance Minister, also said that no person has been engaged on contractual basis in the finance department without following the proper procedure or norms.
The government, he said, has already notified the relevant policy (under SRO 520) regarding regularization of over sixty thousand daily-wagers.
As per records, 1,00,510 daily wagers and contractual employees working in different departments have been registered through online Aadhar based bio-metric identification process.
He also clarified that the contractual employees are being regularised in terms of the Jammu and Kashmir (Special Provisions) Act, 2010 and are not being regularized under the SRO-520.
