Sheeri (Baramulla): Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday expressed concern over the rising crimes against women and asked the police to deal sternly with those found involved in cases against the fairer gender.
Addressing the attestation-cum-passing out parade at Subsidiary Training Centre Sheeri, Chief Minister, Mehbooba said the killing of a young girl at Kathua was heart wrenching and the Government has already constituted a Special Investigating Team (SIT) to probe the case.
The minor girl, Asifa Bano, found dead in the forests near her native village Rasana in Hiranagar on Wednesday, had been missing since January 10 when she had taken some horses for watering in the neighbourhood.
