Ganderbal: The fire that had erupted in Anderwan forest of this central Kashmir district has been brought under control after three days, official said.
Sources said the compartment no. 6 and 7 of Mansbal range in Sindh forest division Ganderbal caught fire on Sunday.
However, an official at the forest department told INS that the incident took place on Monday and the fire was brought under control on Tuesday with the joint efforts of forest officials and locals.
He said the reason of fire was dry weather condition prevalent in the valley. “Such incidents occur in forest regions due to dry weather,” he said.
