KEG thanks Chief Minister for Aiwan-i-Sahafat

Jammu: A joint delegation of representatives of Kashmir Editors Guild (KEG) and Kashmir Press Club, Srinagar called on the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti here on Monday.
The delegation thanked the Chief Minister for her intervention in establishing Aiwan i Sahafat in Srinagar and taking necessary steps in handing over the premises for the purpose.
The Chief Minister informed the delegation that she wishes Aiwan-i-Sahafat to come up as a centre of intellectual discourse and creativity of unparallel excellence in the country. She assured the delegation that Government would do whatever needed in this regard.
Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Rohit Kansal; Secretary, Information, Dr. Abdul Rashid and Director, Information, Muneer ul Islam were present on the occasion.
The delegation comprised President, KEG, Fayaz Ahmad Kaloo; General Secretary, KEG, Bashir Manzar; President, KPC, Muhammad Saleem Pandit; Vice President, KPC, Shuja ul Haq; Bashir Ahmad Bashir, Masood Hussain, Manzoor Anjum, Jeelani Qadri, all members of KEG.
