Srinagar: Tassaduq Hussain Mufti, tourism minister, was on Tuesday assigned additional charge to “oversee” the functioning of the Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell till further orders.
Tassaduq had earlier resigned from the post of Co-ordinator J&K Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell in the run up to his induction into the cabinet led by his sister Mehbooba Mufti.
“It is hereby ordered that Jenab Tassaduq Hussain Mufti, Minister for Tourism, shall, in addition to his responsibilities as Minister for Tourism, oversee the functioning of the Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell till further orders,” reads a government order issued here.
46-year-old Mufti formally joined the ruling PDP on January 7 last year. Tassaduq is an American Film Institute graduate and has cinematographed Bollywood blockbusters like Omkara and Kaminey.
