Srinagar: Kulbhushan Jadhav, accused by Pakistan for spying, has said he “saw fear” in his mother’s eyes and that an Indian diplomat accompanying her was “yelling at her”, DawnNews reported on Thursday.
Jadhav made these remarks in a video released by the Pakistan Foreign Office.
The development comes after “critical Indian media coverage” of Jadhav’s Christmas meeting with his family in Islamabad.
“I want to tell India that I am a commissioned officer in the Indian Navy. Why are you lying about my working for an intelligence agency?” Kulbushan said, addressing the Indian nation.
He added that his mother was “very happy” to see him “in a good state”.
“She said, ‘I’m feeling very relaxed after seeing you’,” Jadhav said.
