Ganderbal: Ganderbal Police on Tuesday claimed to have busted a fake job racket and arrested three persons in this regard.
Official said the accused persons had duped people in the name of providing government jobs against heavy cash payments
According to reports, on December 30, police station Safapora received a complaint from two girls (names withheld) that two persons namely Reyaz Ahmad Bhat, resident of Shopain and Aamir Ahmad, resident of Safapora, Ganderbal, have cheated them by providing fake certificates and had promised them of government job.
Appointment letters were provided in different government offices by these three persons, which later proved fake, reports said.
“Upon receiving the complaint, police station Safapora registered an FIR 42/2017 U/S 420, 468, 471 and started investigation,” the official said. “Fake appointment letters with government departmental orders with GP fund pass book were also seized.”
“During investigation, it was revealed that Aamir Ahmad, resident of Safapora, Ganderbal along with Rreyaz Ahmad Bhat, resident of Shopain, Rouf Ahmad Mir, resident of Budgam and Aashiq Ahmad Jugoo, resident of Srinagar had formed a gang and were cheating people by providing fake jobs orders,” he said. “They have duped dozens of other unemployed youth.”
“Three person have been arrested and hunt for fourth is on, the official said. “These persons worked as motivators who would entice gullible unemployed youth for governments jobs against huge sum of rupees.”
“The candidates after paying money would receive appointment letters of different departments like Forest etc.,” the official said, adding that the investigation of the case in going on and more arrests are expected.
