Govt permits A G Mir to perform Umrah, S K Gupta to hold charge of IGP CID

Srinagar: The State Government on Tuesday ordered posting of three Additional Director General of Police in the interest of administrations.
An order issued by state’s home department announced that Abdul Ghani Mir (IPS), upon his promotion as Additional Director General of Police, has been posted as ADGP CID, J&K, against an available vacancy.
Mohd Sulaiman Salaria (IPS) has been asked to continue to discharge his duties as Director, SKPA, Udhampur. “The post of Director, SKPA, Udhampur, is declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of Additional Director General of Police, in terms of Rule 12(1) of the Indian Police Service (Pay) Rules, 2016, till it is held by Mohd Sulaiman Salaria.”
Alok Puri (IPS) has also been asked to continue to hold the charge of the post of IGP, Crime, till further orders.
“PHQ shall draw the salary of Alok Puri and Muneer Ahmad Khan (IGP Kashmir), against the available posts of Additional Directors General of Police.”
