Srinagar: Healthcare system in Tral was hit due to strike called by the employees of National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) in Jammu and Kashmir, demanding regularisation of their services.
Majority of doctors in sub district hospital are employed under NRHM scheme.
Large number of patients outside hospitals and primary health centres in Tral are facing the brunt of the strike which continues for the last six days.
People from far-off villages of Tral like Lam, Paner, Narastan, Zooastan, Pastuna and other areas complained that sub-centres in their respective areas are off since past week.
The people requested higher ups to restore the healthcare system in the said sub-district at the earliest.
