Govt permits A G Mir to perform Umrah, S K Gupta to hold charge of IGP CID

Srinagar: The state government on Wednesday granted permission to Abdul Ghani Mir (IPS), IGP CID J&K, to visit Saudi Arabia on a private visit for performing Umrah from tomorrow.
“Surinder Kumar Gupta (IPS), IGP Headquarters, PHQ, shall hold the charge of the post of IGP CID, J&K, in addition to his own duties fill Abdul Ghani Mir remains on leave,” reads a government order issued here.
