Ishfaq Ahmad Wani, a KAS officer was on Dec 12 transferred from being ‘Additional Mission Director  State Rural Livelihood mission’ to ‘J&K legislative council’.

‘Seven days have passed since the Under secretary to the government passed the orders however he is adamant on staying and is not letting the new officer join,” sources in the Rural livelihood mission said.

Sources claim that since he is no longer the officer in charge, and the newly appointed officer is yet to take charges fully as Wani creates hurdles in official work, the rural livelihood mission is in jeopardy.

“In the interest of administration reads every transfer order but Wani is going against this spirit,” sources said.

General administraton department had posted Rifat Aftab Qureshi, who earlier was posted as JD Hospitality and protocol Kashmir, as the new Additional Mission Director however owing to Wani’s adamant stand work in the Mission directorate is ‘suffering’.

“Wani has been transferred to J&K legislative council, which is his parent organisation,” sources said.
