Ganderbal: Residents of pathpora Chatergul tehsil Kangan in district Ganderbal are demanding installing electric poles and proper wiring.

Accusing Power Development Department(PDD) of  ‘ignoring peoples problems due to their lackadaisical approach’ they asked district administration to come on spot verification.

“The electric wires pass through trees plants and are broken at various places. We live in fear that fire can break out any time. A small short circuit would lit up the whole locality,” residents said.

According to residents the poles which are in place were installed during ‘Bakhshi government in jammu and kashmir’.

People appealed Chief Minister to look into the matter personally.

“Is PDD waiting that fire engulfs the locality, damages our properties or God forbid some one should get electrocuted and then they will come for condolence. Then they will claim that we will do every thing for you. CM should intervene and let us have a sigh of relief,” residents said.
