Kupwara: Delay in treating accident victims, DH Kupwara asked to explain ‘where were the doctors’?

Kupwara: Authorities have asked hospital authorities at District Hospital Kupwara to explain as to why no doctor was available early morning on Tuesday when two accident patients were brought in for treatment.

According to sources in district administration wishing anonymity told INS soon after the issue was brought to public notice through media about the lackadaisical approach of the doctors, escaping duties, district authorities were rung up by the ministry of health to explain the position on the ‘un professional approach about a sensitive job’.
Two persons had received head injuries on Tuesday morning at lolab byepass of district Kupwara who waited for an hour  for treatment however they were even not given proper first aid at the health facility.
The injured later had contacted their families who managed to get a car to shift them to another health facility. but before they could reach the health centre at Sogam, they were asked to come back to DH Kupwara where they finally were treated.
Both the injured Muhammad shaban Ganie and  Ishafaq Ahmad Mir residents  of Wavoora Lolab are safe.
