Kathua: 4kg charas seized from Woman, 4 persons arrested separately

Kathua: Police arrested four persons for carrying 105 grams of heroin and 1960 bottles of ‘Max Coff-t’ besides seized four kilograms of charas from a woman in Kathua district of Jammu.
An official said police during patrolling spotted one lady in Sawan Chak area trying to escape after watching men in uniform. The woman was intercepted by lady police officials and police recovered four kilograms of Charas from her possession, the official said. On this a case (FIR no 372/2017 u/s 8/20 NDPS Act) stands registered at Police station Kathua.
Separately, police during patrolling intercepted one person near Radio Station Kathua while noticing suspicious activity. After search by police, 105 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession, the official said.
The official identified Mohammad Ashraf son of Abdul Hamid of ‘Achin’ Pulwama.
Meanwhile, the official said that a team of Police with the assistance of Excise department Lakhanpur laid a naka at new Ravi bridge in the area and intercepted a truck (HR55M-6756) and recovered 1960 bottles (100 ml each) of Max Coff-T(Codeine Phosphate). “Police arrested the driver namely Abdul Rashid Mir of Malangpura Pulwama along with his two associates— Owais Bashir of Pulwama and Amir Ahmed Wani of Pattan Barmulla .
