Srinagar: Tourist resort Gulmarg and Sonamarg including its upper reaches receive fresh snowfall on Monday morning while heavy rainfall in Kashmir plains.
According to INS, Zojila Pass, Zero Point, Thajiwas glacier, Afarwat received fresh snowfall since morning bringing the cheer among the tourists.
Reports said Gulmarg and Sonamarg receive nearly one feet of snow and both the places were covered in a white blanket of snow.
Reports further added that 434-km long Srinagar-Leh highway connecting the Ladakh region with Kashmir valley has been suspended for vehicular traffic due to fresh spell of snowfall and slippery road conditions.
No vehicle was allowed on the highway as a precautionary measure and the road is slippery condition they added.
