Srinagar: The Srinagar-Jammu highway has been closed for vehicular movement after heavy snowfall and incessant rains along the route. The decision to close the road was taken on Monday evening.

According to Ssp Sgr Jmu highway Bhagat,  ‘due to continue heavy rainfall at Patnitop, Ramban, Banihal, & snowing at both sides of Jahawar Tunnel the road has been closed’.

“The road has been closed for the safety of passengers. Passengers are requested to contact traffic control room Jammu & Srinagar for any help,” Bhagat said.
