CASO: With no sight of militants siege around churat village lifted

Kulgam: The Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) by forces against militants has been called off in Churath village of Qazigund village of Kulgam district on saturday morning, after militants reportedly managed to give them a slip.

According to reports the militants and forces had a brief face off but after wards no fresh contact between two sides happened during the massive anti militancy operation in the area.

Protests too erupted in the area during the CASO.

The CASO was launched on Friday evening following a tip off about the presence of two to three militants in the area. There was also brief firing when the security forces were sealing exit points, sources said.
