Kupwara: Police caught an absconder Mushtaq Ahmed Badana son of Taj din Badana resident of Hatchmarg in Kupwara district on Thursday who was absconding in an FIR after nine years.

Mushtaq had given slip to police many times in past but was trapped today in a filmy style by Vilgam Police station in Handwara.

Soon when he saw police approaching to him, he hides himself in a wooden box wherein SHO PS Wilgam Javid Sad shiekh caught hold of him, said a police official.

Police has also produced the said chalan under FIR no 58/2008 US 354RPC in Court at Handwara.
