Residents told INS that Analyser at SDH is damaged leaving it defunct while as ‘USG machine is of an old technology and often remains out of use’.

Locals complained that ‘nobody in the hospital bothers to use X-ray machine.’

“They always put up an excuse that electricity is not available, due to which patients do X-rays and other medical tests mostly outside on private clinics,” locals said.

Locals also alleged that after ‘4pm’ doctors at the SDH leave for home leaving the whole population at the mercy of God.

“The SDH caters to nearly 2 lac population of Tral and the vicinity areas are additional who believe that the SDH will help them in emergency situation. But some time there is one doctor available, at times two and on some days there is none to look after patients,” locals claimed.

Locals says that despite having a generator in the hospital, ‘authorities seems reluctant to use it,” they said.
