Kupwara: Labours of National Rural Employment Guarantee Act of Block Qadirabad Hirri area of Kupwara district on Monday hold protest against department’s failure to provide pending wages since last two years

As per protesting  Labours, they alleged  that the concerned department doesn’t  pay heed to all our problems , despite  the completion of all the formalities and department  gave us advice which was useless  as we were deceived  at the bank as  the bank there they told that  no money has been granted in your favour so far, That’s  giving tough time to us and our families as we are unable to fullfill our daily needs allege Protesters.

Lateef Ahmad, one the angry protesters told INS  that “We are demanding our unpaid dues since long but the department is paying no attention to our problems as faced by labours as that’s  the amount we depend on and our family sustains on, BDO Office Qaziabad has been playing games with us and repeatedly  telling that after some days the matter will be solved  from past years, advices Have been Give to us 8 month’s  before but till date not a penny has been paid in out favour Lateef ahmad Told”.

Qaziabad BDO when contacted told INS that I have recently joined as BDO and after listening to all these Labours I have told all my employees to sort the issue as soon as possible and  assured that unpaid dues will be released in 10 days”. (INS)
