Rajouri: 3 cops suspended after an undertrial escaped from police custody

Rajouri: Three policemen including an Assistant Sub Inspector were suspended and an FIR registered after an undertrial escaped from police custody in Rajouri district of Jammu division of the state.

An under trial Mohd Riaz Son of Mohd Shafi resident of Muradpur Rajouri was involved in a case FIR 102/2016 of Nowshera Police Station was being taken to District Jail at Dhangri after session court hearing.

The said under trial escaped giving a slip to police party and a major manhunt has been launched to trace him up.

Taking action, a case FIR 522/2017 u/s 223/224 RPC has been registered in Rajouri police station against police party consisting of ASI Din Mohd, SGCT Ghulam Mustafa and HC Mohd Safoor & under trial accused Mohd Riaz.
