Police grants scholarship to six police wards ‘to inculcate a spirit of competition’

Jammu, November 25: Police on Suturday sanctioned meritorious scholarship in favour of six police wards for securing above 70 per cent marks in professional courses at graduation level.

The scholarships were sanctioned by Director General of Police, Dr. S.P Vaid, to “inculcate a spirit of competition among the wards of police personnel.”

The scholarship of Rs 7000 each has been sanctioned in favour of Nusrat Ul Islam daughter of ASI Azad Ahmad and Rouf Lone son of Inspector Mohammad Akbar Lone who have secured above 80 per cent marks in BSC and B Tech respectively, police said in a statement.

Police spokesman added that the scholarship of Rs. 5000 each has been sanctioned in favour of Fauiq Bashir son of ASI Bashir Ahmad, Anaitullah Mushtaq son of HC, Mushtaq Ahamd, Summira Rafiq daughter of ASI Mohammad Rafiq and Irfan Ahmad son of SI(M) Ghulam Mohammad  for securing above 77 per cent marks in B Tech.
